Hola chicos y chicas
Last night we had our second Samba class.
It is so much fun!
Just to make things clear, it is not a dance course, no it is a percussion course.
Yall probably know those brazillian musicians during the carneval with drums and all kids of loud stuff. That's what we are doing... al lot of noise.
It is so much fun..did I mention that already?
Well I played the Surros, that are the huge drums you have to waer around your wist, so you can walk with them , well actualy you look more like you wadle around, than walk, then I tried the snare drum, and the agogo,. An Agogo is a thing consisting of two bell like... , well two bells and you hit it with a stick, not so much fun.
For the song we are learning right now, Samba Reaggae, I decided to stick to the snare drum, it's the most fun, I think and I can practice my drumming skills, not that I have any, to begin with, but oh well.
Since the classes are in the middle of Auckland (over the harbour bridge) we have to drive there with our car.
We actually have a name for her now. Yes it's a she, a little bitchy sometimes, and she does not want to open the backdoors from the outside, actually only one of the backdoors can be opened at all. But we love her.
She is just "Unique" (Einzigartig auf deutsch). That's her name, unique, because there is no car like her out there.
That's it for now.

You will hurt "Unique's" feelings if you talk about her... then she wont work right and you'll really regret it! Trust me I know via expereince!
